Eileen's life
Eileen Fogarty Citrano was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 4, 1942. She attended St. Cecilia Catholic School and Duchesne College.
While pursuing a Master's degree in History at Georgetown University, she met Jim Citrano in 1965. They married in 1966 and, in 1972, settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where they raised four children.
For 37 years, from 1976 to 2013, Eileen taught junior high at San Jose Catholic School. Teaching was not just a profession, it was her calling.
An avid runner and a devout Catholic, she was deeply proud of her Irish heritage and treasured the time she spent with her large family. She passed away on July 24, 2026, after living with Alzheimer's disease.
